The Stables (sleeps 8+2)

Entrance Hall

A lovely old oak front door opens to a beautiful entrance hall with high ceilings and plenty of cupboard space for coats and belongings.

The Great Hall

The Great Hall is 50 feet long and a fantastic space for entertaining. The two large oak doors open to reveal a vast room, with massive oak beams and a beautiful chestnut floor  sourced from the estate). The room has three distinct areas: dining (table seats 16), sitting (with drinks cabinet and large sofas) and entertainment (with cinema screen and grand piano).

On one side of the Great Hall are three sets of glass french doors leading to the enclosed courtyard and on the other side two sets of folding doors which lead to additional outside entertaining space, the Koi pond, lake and open countryside beyond.

There are 2 ground floor bedrooms, both with en-suites

‘Orchid’ Bedroom Suite

The Orchid bedroom suite is peaceful and calm with Japanese style décor. King size bed.

‘Delphinium’ Bedroom Suite

This bedroom is luxurious and romantic with large mirrors and fairy tale lighting.

The Kitchen

Large well equipped kitchen with 2 oven AGA, conventional electric ovens and hob, microwave, dishwasher, American style fridge freezer with ice maker, drinks fridge, 2 coffee machines. Seating for 16.

The Sitting room

The large sitting room is approached from the kitchen. This bright spacious family room has french doors along one wall which can be completely opened up to enter the enclosed courtyard. The sofas and armchairs are large and comfy surrounding the log fire.  65 inch TV,  Playstation and board games.

The hand-made oak staircase from the sitting room leads up to two further bedroom suites.

‘French Rose’ Bedroom Suite

A spacious, beautiful bedroom with chandelier, super king size bed and 2 adult sized day beds.

French Rose Bathroom

A stunning high ceilinged bathroom, roll top bath, french antique washstand with two basins and a walk in shower.

‘Cornflower’ Bedroom Suite

A large ‘sunny’ bedroom with tones of the sea. Super king sized bed, 1 adult sized daybed.

To continue with the ‘sea’ theme this bathroom has a boat tub double ended bath, pebbled tiles, walk in shower and porthole lighting.

Merrieweathers Barn (sleeps 4+2)

Opposite the Stables is the hay barn which has been converted into spacious additional accommodation.

Bedroom 1: handmade (walnut and beech) double bed bunk bed, ensuite shower room.

Bedroom 2: Zip linked super king sized bed (can be made into twin), ensuite shower room

Large 30 ft Games Room with  table tennis

Merrieweathers ‘pub’/Games Lodge

The Games Lodge with a bar area has been built within the grounds of Merrieweathers. It is accessed via the kitchen garden, just 75 yards away from the Stables and Barn.

Bar area includes:

  • optics and beer pumps
  • glasses, ice making machine
  • fridge, dishwasher.
  • Cloakroom
