Local Produce

The region is rich in local produce and is of the highest quality. East Sussex is renowned for its apple juice, sparkling wine, beer and beef as well as cheese. There are a number of farmers selling produce straight from the farm and also markets. Heathfield famers market (5 miles) runs on the 3rd Saturday of every month. In Mayfield village is a delicatessen which stocks local cheese and wine and the butcher supplies local meat, perfect for barbecues.

Stunning Countryside

You can venture straight from the front door onto miles of footpaths. Through fields and woodland, over streams and stiles, the walks are stunning particularly during bluebell time in May.  A detailed OS Explorer Map in the stables gives full details of the walks available.
